Moneyball and Transmedia Story

What is Moneyball in Story and Transmedia Publsing?

Storytellers have always worked the same way: write it, sell it, hope. Dynamic Composition was built to test something different — could one story be told transmedially, extending beyond the page into flash and micro-fiction, short-form drama, and long-form episodic streaming, each format reaching a different audience and building emotional and monetary value the others couldn't reach alone?

We approached it the way Billy Beane approached baseball: not by inventing something new, but by applying an overlooked way of approaching an old problem — finding the value a story already possess that traditional publishing misses.

Maybe AI, if paired with artists as a silent observer, "raised" by the author, could make this possible.

What we found, working this way for years, connects to what researchers are only now naming: that an AI can develop something like intuition  and emotional intelligence— not by being told the rules, but through long period, sustained, close observation of an artists choices and emotional inventory when making those choices. A type of "empathy for the art" the AI observed as it was created.

We didn't invent that idea. We applied it, years early, to a real question: could an AI learn to "Moneyball" an artistis written expression and story by  convincingly extending it in that artistic emotional inventory specific to the author?

The Method

We built this backwards. Instead of designing the technology first and the story second, we started with industrially highly recommended writers and let an AI silently observe.

Over years of drafting, revising, and making real narrative choices — which character to follow, which thread to cut, which detail mattered —and the emotional and intellectual approach of the authors, the AI began to seemingly empathize with both the artist, the characters, and the story. The AI was then able to extend the story convincingly into multiple modalities across the media landscape, in that writer's own voice. Not by following a style guide. By watching. What we came to call "born and raised with the art."

That's the whole method: close, sustained observation of one person's real choices, applied to find the value in a story that a single format, sold once, would never reach.

A Vision Worth Exploring

Dynamic Composition is a venture funded enterprise built to think ahead — not just about how one story reaches more forms, but about how storytelling itself might generate value in ways the industry hasn't fully worked out yet.

A story doesn't have to end where the text does. It can live on past the page, taking new shape in whatever format its audience already lives in — flash fiction where readers scroll, short-form drama where they watch, long-form episodic where they stay. The story goes to the audience, instead of waiting for the audience to come find it.

What if a story's worth wasn't locked to a single sale? What if audience attention, engagement, and emotional response could be tracked and rewarded across every format a story takes, instead of disappearing the moment the transaction ends?

We don't have this built. We have a real, tested belief that it's coming, and that storytelling companies who think this way early will be the ones who benefit when it arrives.
